Charity Drinks & Networking: An Introduction to Personal Branding

November 25, 2015 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm

25th November | 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm – Join us for our November drinks and networking event, where you’ll be guaranteed an interesting, fun and sociable evening! Whether you come alone or with colleagues and friends, you’ll be warmly welcomed by our wonderful facilitators, who will introduce you to members of our friendly community from the charity, not-for-profit and social enterprise community.

Introduction to Personal Branding by Malcolm Levene

One purpose of these workshops, is to bring an awareness to the Personal Branding arena. If, like many in the business world, you agree that our reputation is aligned to our Personal Brand, it goes without saying, to enhance our reputation is a ‘must have’. And for one to further enhance their reputation, first, one needs to have a healthy self belief. One method we can use to encourage more self belief, is learning how to be less self conscious. One way to do this, is to know how/when to take risks. Start by taking risks when speaking in public, or when instructing or asking members of staff to take on a project.  As Oscar Wilde said, “Be yourself as everyone else is taken.” The only amendment I’d like to make to that quote is this: “Be your best self as everyone else is taken.”

Guest speaker: Malcolm Levene

Malcolm Levene teaches professional people how they can develop a strong, sustainable Personal Brand and by doing so, significantly improve their influencing skills and personal impact. Malcolm’s private clients have included Tony Blair, Alastair Campbell, Michael Marks CBE, Robert Walters, CEO of Robert Walters PLC and Michael Gove MP. Malcolm’s corporate clients include Prudential, Deutsche Bank, Tesco, Citigroup, Robert Walters PLC, Nestle, KPMG, Old Mutual, Volvo (UK), The Bank of New York Mellon, M&G Investments and Google.

Malcolm is a panel member of YougovStone, a Think-tank that “provides feedback on the most important issues facing this country.” Recently Malcolm accepted the post of Hon. Visiting Professor of the Metropolitan University, London. Malcolm has written two self-development books, both of which have been published in the UK and the USA. He’s also a regular contributor to Huffington Post and writes articles for UK business magazines, focusing on personal development for business success. Malcolm is frequently quoted by the Press and appeared on television as an expert regarding Self Development for Business Success, Identity and Personal Branding.
