29th March | 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm – Join us for our charity and non-profit drinks and networking event, where you’ll be guaranteed an interesting, fun and sociable evening! In this networking session we will be joined by the Media Trust who will talking about how to get the most out of your media and communications!


Guest Talk: Media and Communications Support for Charities

In this session, Media trust volunteers Ewa & Kay Headley will discuss the ways that charities can use the Media and Communications Industry to raise their profiles. After the talk charities will have an increased knowledge about how to become visible in an ever competitive charitable market.


We will cover: 

  • The key to raising your profile.
  • The Do’s and Dont’s of working with production volunteers or partners
  • What makes a good web and social video
  • Why there are no miracles in the production process
  • Analytics and tracking performance
  • You’re either all in or not at all
  • How to plan and create great content to raise your profile


About the presenters

Ewa & Kay Headley are Directors & Producers who have made over 40 films for organisations including the BBC, Media Trust, The Living Wage Foundation and the NHS.

Ewa is a Digital Producer at BBC World News & Kay coordinates operations for BBC News & World Channel Directors. Ewa and Kay are also part of Production Operations Social Media Group for BBC News.
