The annual memcom membership excellence awards celebrate the success of professional associations, membership organisations and the wider non-profit sector.

The annual award event will take place on May 16th this year at County Hall, London. It showcases the best of the best and celebrates excellence in membership, marketing, communications, product development and people – highlighting best practice, teamwork and leadership. The awards are hugely respected throughout the industry and winning an award highlights you and your team as sector leaders.

From suppliers to employees and even volunteers, the awards in this section celebrate the positive impact that both individuals and teams have on the sector and the professions.
Arguably the most prestigious award for an individual within the professional associations sector, The Louis Armstrong CEO Leadership Award for Outstanding Leadership is unique and recognises true leadership of a professional body or trade association. The Unsung Hero Award for Outstanding Service, plays tribute to an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to an organisation for whom they work or the profession they represent – the perfect opportunity to celebrate your unsung heroes! The Membership / Marketing Team of the Year recognises how your membership or marketing team’s collaborative, inclusive and strategic approach has transformed your organisation. Best Newcomer celebrates an individual who has made a huge impact in less than 12 months in the role. Outstanding Achiever in Membership / Marketing Team recognises the individual who has made the most impact to their organisation and its work. This includes everything from membership engagement to public awareness campaigns – and is open to anybody from the head of the department to the interns or volunteers.

Marketing, Communications and Membership category
From campaigns to products, from magazines to events, the awards in this section celebrate the innovation, creativity and hard work which drives up standards in the sector and delivers increased value for its professions and society at large.
Best Campaign on a Shoestring recognises the investment of time and effort which goes into making a low-budget campaign with impact. Best Integrated Marketing or Membership Campaign celebrates the creativity and inspiration it takes to deliver a strong marketing or membership campaign through a range of channels.

From social mobility and equality and diversity, to leadership and outstanding contribution to society, the awards in this section celebrate the positive impact that professional associations have in terms of ‘public good’, namely on both the professions and society as a whole.
Best Corporate Responsibility recognises the role played by professional associations in promoting good business practice on behalf of the profession. Best Social Campaign / Advancement of a Cause applauds the role played by professional associations in social campaigning and the advancement of causes for the public good.
